Update status for summer of 2013
by john speckman on 07/21/13
It has been a very busy summer with the bees, they had a real slow start with the cooler and wet spring, but after mid June they really started putting up quite a bit of clover honey. We have started to extract the 2013 crop of honey, and it is really quite light in color, and has a wonderful taste. We have started stocking our stores with this years crop, as well as some of the finest "Cut Comb" honey you will find.
We have started moving some of our colonies to new locations to hopefully gather another crop of soybean honey, then some fall honey for them to use during the winter for feed.
